Program Overview Our Doctor of Audiology program combines a block curriculum that immerses students in one subject at a time for more effective learning with our groundbreaking Audiology Simulation Laboratories to inspire an ongoing motivation to learn.
First Professional Year During the first year of the AuD program, classes and clinical practicum focus on the knowledge and skills necessary to complete a basic audiologic evaluation and implement a basic intervention plan.
Clinical experiences involve directed clinical observation followed by weekly clinical practicum assignments.
Second Professional Year The second year of the AuD program provides a more advanced curriculum, with students spending most of their class time in concentrated specialty blocks. Clinical practicum experiences during year 2 include three clinical internship rotations, locally or nationally.
Third Professional Year The third year of the AuD program is focused on full-time clinical externship placements at facilities across the country. Students also participate in an online seminar focused on addressing professional practice issues and case studies.
