Rise up. At Pacific University, we have high expectations for all our students. Are you up to the challenge?
Think Out of the Box
A Unique Perspective Hearing and balance are two of humans’ most important senses. Whatever the underlying causes of hearing loss and balance issues, and all the challenges that come with those, Doctors of Audiology are committed to helping give back the gifts of communication and engagement with life. Here, you will have the satisfaction of helping restore these precious gifts to your patients.
Set High Expectations The Pacific University Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program is one of just a few accelerated, three-year programs in the nation. Instead of multiple subjects studied simultaneously, most of your classroom studies are organized into 1-3-week modules of compressed learning on one subject. From your first year, and continuing throughout your degree program, you will also participate in clinical practicum experiences to apply what you are learning.
Our atmosphere is collegial—not competitive. We do not post grades and you will often work as part of a group on exams.
But we do set the bar high. Here, you must achieve a score of at least 85% to pass. Expect to be challenged. Expect to be supported and to achieve more than you ever thought possible.

Leading-edge Technology We look for students who love the latest electronics because audiology relies on technology and new advances come quickly. At Pacific University, you will get hands-on practice with the latest technologies and devices. Our Audiology Simulation Laboratory is an incredible learning environment with its highly advanced capabilities.
Fascinating Opportunities Doctors of Audiology practice in a wider range of settings than you might imagine. From hospitals to private practices, research labs to technology companies, Audiologists work in a variety of settings serving diverse patient populations across their lifespan. For example, an Audiologist might conduct newborn hearing evaluations or work as a consultant in the music industry.
Commitment to Lifelong Learning We are committed to developing best practices and advancing audiology education for the 21st century. As a School, we are committed to fostering a spirit of life-long professional learning, commitment to service and a desire to contribute to professional advancement. From the beginning of your program, you will have the opportunity to serve the local community through practicum experiences in our on-campus Pacific EarClinic and at off-campus clinical sites.
